Qualifying for a Travel Time Bonus

HPLH Field Team employees must travel to a job site without compensation for the first 30 minutes of vehicle travel time to and from the HPLH lot (50 Wolf Tongue Court, Nederland). Employees are welcome to commute directly to and from their home, unless otherwise directed by the Field Manager with daily dispatch. However, mileage will still be calculated from the HPLH lot in Nederland. For miles traveled by vehicle after 30 minutes each way, employees may qualify for a Travel Time Bonus. An employee must work a minimum of 7 hours on a job site per work day to qualify, unless the work day was shortened by the employee’s supervisor (which must be noted in accordance with the Time Tracking policy). Travel Time Bonus is calculated internally at the end of each reporting month, based on the employee’s job site locations and hours logged with each site and included in the employee’s applicable payroll period as a bonus.

To be eligible for a Travel Time Bonus, an employee must properly report their total logged hours each week per the Time Tracking policy and must not have received any disciplinary action within the month the Travel Time bonus is requested. Excessive errors and repeated improper time tracking will exclude an employee from receiving a Travel Time Bonus for the month of hours reported with errors.
