Logging Time with Freshbooks Time Tracker

All HPLH employees are required to log their time worked at the end of each day on the Freshbook Classic mobile app. Download it here.

How to LogIn to Freshbooks Classic:

Upon opening the app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter your email. Enter the email address that you’ve provided the company with. Freshbooks will request to authenticate this address, which should be approved. A magic link will then be emailed to you. Click on the magic link within your email from Freshbooks (check your spam folder if it does not arrive) to complete verification of your email address. Your account username will be “FirstLast” (i.e. “JohnSmith”) and your password will be “password”. Once your email address and account have been verified, you are ready to start logging your time.

tracking and submitting Time:

To log time within the Freshbooks app, select “Log Time”. Select the project name that you are working on. If you are logging time internally, or you cannot find the project name, choose “HPH-Non-Created Job" under “Internal Client”.

Employees are entitled to a 30-minute unpaid meal break per 5-hour shift. Your time log should reflect this break, if you choose to take one.

Employees are also entitled to a 10-minute paid break for every 4-hour shift worked. Your time log does not need to reflect this.

Employees must submit their logged hours at the end of each day worked. Each log must include:

  1. The correct date

  2. The appropriate project name (or to Internal Client, if necessary)

  3. Total time of work, excluding breaks

  4. For operators, within the memo, total machine hours at the start of the day (taking a photo of this when warming up the machine is a good method for tracking this)

  5. Within the memo, the reason for cutting the day short, if logging less than 7 hours for the day (i.e. “bad weather”, or “supervisor-approved time off”)

  6. Within the memo, a detailed description of what was achieved during the hours worked

  7. Any errors, mistakes, accidents, or damage occurred on the job site, which must also be immediately reported to a supervisor

Time Tracking that is consistently not reported according to these guidelines will result in disciplinary action and exclusion from the Travel Bonus.
